FBC Carthage E-News for January 27, 2020

FBC Carthage E-News
January 27, 2020

Good Morning,

This month has been a focus on stewardship along with an emphasis on the Sanctity of Human Life.  We have been collecting quarters, dimes, nickels, and pennies in baby bottles for the Pregnancy Help Center of Smith County.  We also received a special offering for the Center yesterday to help in their work with women, children, and families.  In the service yesterday, we  recognized over a dozen ministries and organizations in our community that serve the needs of people, from the babies to the senior adults.   How will you minister and care for “the least of these” in 2020?  Remember, that’s one of the final exam questions (Matthew 25:31-40.)  We are God’s workmanship created in Christ Jesus for the purpose of doing good works, especially towards those in need.

Remember our stewardship quote for this month, “God has temporarily entrusted you with what you have so you can partner with Him to accomplish His purposes on the earth.”

If you are still filling your baby bottles for the Pregnancy Help Center, bring them to the Connection Point in the next couple of weeks.  We want to pass the bottles on to other churches to share in this great ministry.

Our RightNow Video Series of the Week relates directly to Sunday’s message and is entitled, “12 Neighbors.”  The “12 Neighbors” film series asks, "What does it really mean to love your neighbor?" It features amazing people sharing their life experiences and unique insights into poverty and marginalization. Through powerful storytelling and original music, these 12-15 minute films will both educate and inspire you to think differently about what it means to love others and to help affect real change. Learn the 5 practical keys to really loving your neighbor, and deepen your own experience of the full life. Watch, discuss, and take action:    https://www.rightnowmedia.org/Content/Series/375381

Remember, if you haven’t signed-up for RightNow Media you can do that right now.  Also, you can freely share the resource with your family and friends.  Simply go to https://www.rightnowmedia.org/Account/Invite/cfbc.
This video resource and all the videos are provided free of charge as a gift from FBC Carthage.
