FBC Carthage E-News
July 22, 2019
Good morning,
Yesterday was a highlight
day for FBC Carthage as we had 6 baptisms in the morning service. We rejoice with every person who professes
their faith publicly through baptism.
When there are several, as in yesterday’s service, it is a thrilling
event. Please be praying for the 6 young
people as they live for their Lord. Jesus Christ. Those baptized were:
Hannah Hawthorne
Kevin (KJ) Robinson
Danielle Robinson
Maria Felix
Branden Teague
Savannah Harper
We had our final Block Party
for the Summer last night in Pleasant Shade with a good attendance. Thanks to all who came and served in many
different ways. This has been a fun and
blessed Summer of mission and ministry as we have had several opportunities to
be out of the building and into the community.
This coming Sunday night,
July 28 at 6:00 PM we will have a celebration service as we share the highlights
of our Summer mission trips and events.
We will meet in the Christian Life Center for the service followed by a
Ice Cream Sundae Fellowship. We will
have ice cream and toppings for your special creation.
The RightNow Media video
series for this week is very engaging look at Spiritual Beings. These 7 short videos explore the spiritual
realm and help us understand the work of Jesus in restoring humanity to God’s
true design. This series profiles all of
the spiritual characters in the Bible, see how they fit into the world-picture
of the biblical authors, and also how they figure in the larger storyline of
the Bible. So let’s put our brains into learning and processing mode and dive
in together! Here is the 5 minute Introduction video https://www.rightnowmedia.org/Content/Series/336765?episode=1
