FBC Carthage E-News
May 6, 2019
Good Morning,
Callie Rose Clark, my
granddaughter, was born on Tuesday, April 30.
We have had a very exciting week and feel very blessed. Thank you for your prayers for Chase and Sara
and Carolina. They are all home and
doing great.
The Spring Revival with
Bro. Willie McLaurin and Bro. Jim Wilburn is in full swing. We had two great
services yesterday and the services continue each night through Wednesday. Invite someone to come with you tonight at 6:30
PM. Preschool Care is available each of
the services. Please express your
appreciation for the workers each night.
If you missed either of
the services yesterday, they are posted on the First Baptist Church Carthage
Facebook page. If you or a loved one is
struggling with the chains of addiction, last night’s message will give you
hope and a dynamic duo avenue to power and victory.
I also invite you to be an
active part of the revival week by singing in the Revival Choir led by Bro. Jim
Wilburn. Bro. Jim will meet each evening
with the choir at 5:45 PM to prepare for the service. You don’t have to try-out or normally sing in
the choir to join in. Teens and adults
are invited to attend. Let’s fill the
choir loft every night of the Revival. Everyone
is invited to be a part of this special choir as they lead us in worship and
praise.
We had a great recognition
of our graduates in the service yesterday.
Be in prayer for the college graduates who received their degrees on
Saturday and the high school graduations coming up in a couple of weeks.
This
year’s graduates are:
Olivia
Deaver - JCHS
Dylan
Likens - SCHS
Ryan
Angel - TTU
Charli
Angel - TTU
Katie
Winfree - TTU
Brandon
Harris - MTSU
Paige Upchurch - WKU
This coming Sunday, May 12
is Mother’s Day and we will have several special blessings on
that day. We will have a Baby Dedication
in the morning service. If you would
like to be a part of this service and have your baby dedicated, contact Audrey
Russell or call the church office at (615) 735-1929. Photo booths will be available again for you
to get pictures with your family. We
will also have a special gift especially for all ladies in the service that
day. In addition, we will have a new
resource available for everyone that Sunday.
Wow! It will be a wonderful day
to be at FBC Carthage.
Our Ministry
T-Shirts are available in the Connection Point for you to pick up and wear as
you serve this Summer. We have
re-ordered Children’s small, and Adult mediam, large, X-large, 2XL, and
3XL.
Have a blessed week as you
pray for Bro. Willie and Bro. Jim, our church and the unchurched in our
community and as you attend the revival services,
Bro. Tim

The May Bible Pathways booklets are in for you to continue your “Reading

daily, systematic Bible reading. Bible
Pathway gives a daily path to reading.

We are planning a Community Block Party on Sunday, May 19 from 5-7 PM in
the parking lot across from the church.
