FBC Carthage E-News for May 13, 2019

FBC Carthage E-News
May 13, 2019

Good Morning,

We have had a great week of Revival Services with Bro. Willie McLaurin and Bro. Jim Wilburn.  If you missed the blessing of the services you can watch them on our First Baptist Church Carthage Facebook page.  It was moving to see many come to the altar each evening.  May the spirit of revival continue to move among us and into the community.  A special thanks to Crystal McCall for playing the piano each service, the audio/visual team, and the revival choir leading us in worship each evening.  Also, a special thanks to all who served in the preschool, caring for the children during the service.

Yesterday was a day to remember and honor our moms.  I trust you reached out to your mom and wished her a Happy Mother’s Day.  For many it was a sad day of remembering their mom, especially those whose moms died this past year.

The Tennessee Baptist Children’s Homes receive their annual offering on Mother’s Day and we were glad to have one of the house parents and their children share in the service.  The Children’s Home is a great partner in ministry to the children.  For more information on the Tennessee Baptist Children’s Homes go to: https://tennesseechildren.org/

As a special gift to all members, guests, and friends of FBC Carthage we have subscribed to RightNow Media which provides over 10,000 Bible study, marriage and parenting, and children’s videos.  The church is paying the monthly fee for this resource and there is no cost to you to access for the videos.  There should be an email invitation come to your Inbox with a link that leads you to the registration page.  You can also sign up for this free resource by going directly to: https://www.rightnowmedia.org/Account/Invite/cfbc

Each week I want to highlight one of the RightNow Media videos in the E-News.  This first highlight is the first session of a marriage series titled Love and Respect.  This series by Emerson and Sarah Eggerichs is both humorous and extremely helpful in understanding the dynamics in marriage.  Our goal in providing RightNow Media to you is to strengthen marriages, encourage parents, and grow as disciples of Jesus Christ.  Check out this resource today.  You will need to register with RightNow Media to view the video.
