FBC Carthage E-News
May 20, 2019
Good Morning,
Our first Block Party of
the year was a great success, even though the weather ran us indoors. One of our ladies said we may have to change
our theme for the Summer to “The Church Has Left the Building (unless it rains).” We had a tremendous number of those helping
with the event and several families from the community, in spite of the rain
and moving inside. Thank you to all who
help, brought deserts, and participated.
I hope you have
taken the time to register and explore RightNow Media which provides over
10,000 Bible study, marriage and parenting, and children’s videos. FBC Carthage is paying the monthly fee for
this resource and there is no cost to you to access for the videos. You can also sign up for this free resource
by going directly to: https://www.rightnowmedia.org/Account/Invite/cfbc
The RightNow Media video
series for this week is Pastor Tony Evans’ “The Power of Jesus’ Names.” In this series Pastor Evans shares the names
of Jesus in the setting of the Holy Land.
For example, this first video is 11 minutes long and is in Bethlehem at
the Church of the Holy Nativity and shares about Jesus’ name, Immanuel. You will need to have signed up with RightNow
Media before viewing this video. It will
only take a moment to get set up. See
the link above.

On Mother’s Day we
received $2,400.00 for the Tennessee Baptist Children’s Homes. Thanks for the generous offering for the
children.
Just a word of
encouragement for Sunday School. We have
had many people out the past two weeks and remind us all of the importance of being
present each week for the study, fellowship, and ministry of our Sunday School
classes throughout the Summer. If you
aren’t in a Sunday School class, come this Sunday morning at 9:30 AM and let us
help you find a class that is just right for you.
Our Ministry
T-Shirts reorder is in and we have all sizes available in the Connection Point
for you to pick up and wear as you serve this Summer.
Welcome to Jamie
Dance coming to profess her faith and follow the Lord in believer’s
baptism.
Congratulations to
all the graduates from this previous weekend’s graduation services.
Pray for our
expectant couples as they await the delivery of their children. I anticipate one, possibly two births this
week!
Please pray for our Kenya
Mission Team as they make final preparations for the mission trip to Nairobi,
Kenya to work with Ridgeways Baptist Church, May 30-June 15.
If you would like to
be on the Prayer Chain to receive prayer requests as they arise, send your cell
phone number to tfrank@fbccarthage.com

Have a blessed week,
Bro. Tim
