FBC Carthage E-News
April 8, 2019
Good Morning,
This is a great week to
invite someone to join you for the special services on Good Friday at 6;30 PM
and Easter Sunday at 10:45 AM. With less
than two weeks before these events, I urge you to invite your family, friends,
co-workers and neighbors to attend. In
the morning service, yesterday, we focused on “Who’s Your One?” Who is at least one person you can pray for,
invite to services, and share what Jesus means to you. Check out the Who’s Your One Facebook page
with many videos and encouragements in this special emphasis: www.facebook.com/whosyour1/
We continue our prayer and
focus on North American Missions in this Easter season. Everyone is encouraged to give a special
offering for the work of our NAMB missionaries.
Three of those missionaries we know personally:
Zeke
and Layne Tomaselli in Hawaii
Christy
Dyer in New York City
Kewon
Foster in Atlanta
The entire offering on
Easter Sunday will be given for North American missions in honor and praise of
our resurrected Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
We give so the gospel of Christ will reach our nation.
Our Spring Revival will be
May 5-8 with Bro. Willie McLaurin preaching and Bro. Jim Wilburn leading the
music. This will be another great
opportunity to invite your family and friends to hear the gospel.
In preparation for this
season of special services, we are visiting all the homes in Carthage this
month on Monday evenings beginning at 5:00 pm.
After a sandwich supper in the Christian Life Center, we go out and
distribute a special invitation to the services along with the “Jesus” DVD and
a bag of popcorn. Join us tonight as we
share the good news of Jesus.
Just a reminder to be
using the “40 Days Toward Revitalization” Prayer Guide this week as we pray for
our upcoming revival with Bro. Willie McLaurin, May 5-8.
Have a blessed week,
Bro. Tim
