FBC Carthage E-News
December 31, 2018
Happy New Year!
This is a day of
reflection and anticipation. Reflection
on the blessings of the previous year and anticipation for all God has in store
for the year to come. Whatever you
intended to do in 2018, today’s the day.
All you plan to do in 2019, starts tomorrow. May this be a great year for you as you allow
the Lord to lead and guide you. Happy
New Year!
Please pray for Fran and I
as she continues to make improvements at Cookeville Regional Hospital. She came in Wednesday with a bad infection
and in septic shock. Her blood pressure
is now back to normal and her white blood count is coming down. Thank you for your prayers for us during this
time of sickness. I appreciate Bro. Matt
Davis covering many of my responsibilities and preaching last night in the
evening service.
We have reached our goal
for the Lottie Moon Offering for International Missions! As of Sunday’s bulletin, we had received $14,376.50
and since then we received $869.00. Our
goal was $15,000 and as of today we have received $15,245.50! Praise the Lord! May the name of Jesus and the good news of
the Gospel be shared with the peoples of the world.
We celebrate with Stephen
Pride coming forward last night in the service for membership. What a great way
to end 2018!
Due to illness and
conflicts we are going to cancel and reschedule our annual mission/ministry
trip to the Tennessee Baptist Children’s Home in Franklin that was scheduled
for January 3-4.
Take some time today to
reflect on God’s blessings in 2018 and pray for God’s leadership in your life
and in our church for 2019.
Happy New Year!
Bro. Tim
