This Sunday morning,
October 1 begins our Camp Meeting Fall Revival, October 1-4. Help spread the news and invite your family
and friends to this great week of worshiping God and proclaiming the Gospel of
Jesus Christ. We are calling it a Camp
Meeting because we will have a different speaker for each of the five
services. Our speakers will be:
Sunday
10:45AM, October 1 Randy Davis
Exec
Director, Tennessee Baptist Mission Board
Sunday 6:30 PM,
October 1 Scott Shepherd -
Worship Specialist, TBMB
Monday 6:30 PM,
October 2 Roc Collins -
Evangelism Specialist, TBMB
Tuesday 6:30 PM,
October 3 Don Pierson – Pastor
Stewart’s
Chapel Baptist Church, Flintville, TN
Wednesday 6:30 PM, October
4 Tim Hight – Pastor
GraceLife
Baptist Church, Christiansburg, VA
During our Camp Meeting Fall Revival, Scott Shepherd, his wife and
family of four children will be leading us worship. Each
service will be a power packed offering to the glory of God. Please note that the evening services will
begin at 6:30 PM.
Go to the First Baptist Church Carthage Facebook page and share
the videos and posts about the Camp Meeting Fall Revival throughout the
week. This is one of the best ways of
getting the message out. I am asking
each FBC Carthage member to do these three things:
Pray for the services.
Invite your family and friends.
Attend each service of the Camp Meeting Fall
Revival, October 1-4.
The Sanctuary Choir did an amazing job yesterday on the special
song, “It’s All About the Cross.” Thank
you to all our musicians who lead us faithfully in worship each week. The choir will begin work this Wednesday
night, September 27 at 7:30 PM for the Christmas season. Everyone is invited to join the choir for
this season of worship and praise. Come
this week to rehearsal and be a part of the choir.
We rejoice together with Victoria Felix as she followed the Lord
obediently in Believer’s Baptism this past Sunday. Her baptism closes out the
2016-17 church year with 12 baptisms.
Speaking of closing out the church year, our giving has been
fantastic throughout the year and we will end the year with giving ahead of the
budget! Thank you for your faithfulness
in giving during this past year.
Through your giving this month to the Golden Offering for
Tennessee Missions, Tennessee Baptist Children’s Homes, and Tennessee Baptist
Adult Homes we have received $2,749.86.
Thank you again to Bro. Matt, Bro. Marty, and Bro. Brad for
preaching in my absence last week during the Revival at Upper Helton
Baptist. I also appreciate all the
birthday wishes and cards.
Continue to pray for Van and Tracey
Fields, our church custodian, as Tracey begins her chemotherapy treatments this
week.
Have a blessed week,
Bro. Tim
