In less than two weeks we
will begin our Camp Meeting Fall Revival, October 1-4. This will be a great week of worshiping God
and proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
We are calling it a Camp Meeting because we will have a different
speaker for each of the five services.
Our speakers will be:
Sunday
AM, October 1 Randy Davis
Executive
Director, Tennessee Baptist Mission Board
Sunday PM, October
1 Scott Shepherd - Worship
Specialist, TBMB
Monday, October 2 Roc Collins - Evangelism
Specialist, TBMB
Tuesday, October 3 Don Pierson – Pastor
Stewart’s
Chapel Baptist Church, Flintville, TN
Wednesday, October
4 Tim Hight – Pastor
GraceLife
Baptist Church, Christiansburg, VA
In addition, Scott Shepherd, his wife and family of five children
will be leading us worship. Each service will be a power packed offering
to the glory of God. Invite your family
and friends to join with you for our Camp Meeting Fall Revival, October
1-4.
Speaking of revival services, I am preaching a revival this week
with our friend, Bro. Jimmy Arms at Upper Helton Baptist Church, 217 Upper
Helton Road in Alexandria, Tennessee. It
is always a blessing to spend time with my former Pastor and dear friend, Bro.
Jimmy. We have had him preach in our
revivals at FBC Carthage on two occasions and it is an honor to share this week
with his congregation in Alexandria.
Please pray for these services as we proclaim the good news of Jesus to
the people of Dekalb County.
I appreciate Bro. Matt Davis preaching in the morning service
yesterday while I was away. I also
appreciate Br. Marty Dodge preaching on Sunday evening and Bro. Brad Tackett
preaching in the Wednesday night service.
It is a blessing to have these capable and gifted men in our
congregation .
Thank you to the Women on Missions group for hosting the Soul Food
Café for the Tennessee Tech BCM students last week. We had a great time serving and had about 100
students attend the luncheon.
Congratulations to Sam and Madison (Dillon) Ray on their beautiful
wedding last Saturday. Pray for them as
they begin the exciting journey of marriage.
Please continue to pray for
our church custodian, Van Fields, his wife Tracey, and their son, James. Tracey will go to visit an oncologist on
Tuesday to receive the results of the biopsy done last week and to determine
what they will be the course of treatments.
Continue to pray for the
Disaster Relief workers and the clean-up efforts in Texas, Florida, and other
areas affected by the hurricanes.
Please pray for the Camp Meeting Fall Revival which begins on
Sunday, October 1. Pray for the Lord to
lead each of the preachers as they prepare to share with us. Pray for the Scott Shepherd and his family as
they prepare to lead us in worship.
Pray for lost family and friends to invite to come to the services. Pray that our hearts will be open, stirred,
and re-energized to reach our county for Jesus Christ.
Have a blessed week,
Bro. Tim

donates. There are some changes to note
this year. NO Toothpaste, NO Candy, and
NO liquids of any kind in the boxes.
Bars of soap are allowed, but no shampoo or lotions. Also, the suggested donation per box is $9
