FBC Carthage E-News
January 30, 2017
Good Morning,
A special law enforcement
officer appreciation dinner was held this past Saturday night and I had the privilege
to attend and have a prayer of blessings on the officers. The officers who spoke said it was the first
time they remember an appreciation event being held in their honor. We are blessed to have a dedicated and caring
group of men and women serving us and our community through the Smith County Sheriff’s
Office, Carthage Police, South Carthage Police, Gordonsville Police and the
Tennessee Highway Patrol. The police
and law enforcement officers across the nation have not been given the honor
and respect they deserve for the position they hold. This week, as you see a policeman, sheriff’s
deputy, or state trooper, slow down, do what’s right, and say a prayer of
thanksgiving for them. Ask God’s
blessing and protection over them. I am
thankful for these dedicated men and women who “protect and serve.”
Yesterday was a wonderful
celebration of the Sanctity of Human Life.
We are still counting the offering given for the Pregnancy help Center
through the Baby Bottles. The baby dedication
was precious with the four boys and their families who were dedicated to the
Lord. Also, the observance of the Lord’s Supper reminds us of the value of
every human being and the price Jesus paid to seek and the save us from our
sins. Every person you come in contact
with this week is a person of value and worth.
Speaking of babies, be
praying for Fran and I as we look forward to the birth of our first grandbaby,
Carolina Grace. Our daughter, Sara, and
her husband Chase are due on February 14, so the big day could be anytime. This
is an exciting time in the Frank family!
We have had strong
attendance in Sunday School during the month of January. Sunday School is our primary discipleship and
connection ministry for every age, from babies through senior adults. There is a class for everyone. If you are not involved in a Sunday School
class, come this Sunday at 9:30 AM and let us help you find a class that’s just
right for you.
AWANA, our Sunday evening
discipleship ministry for children, ages preschool through high school, will
have a special Super Bowl event this Sunday, February 5 at 5:30 PM. All children and youth are invited to attend
and join in the fun, food, football, and faith.
Have a blessed week as you
live for Jesus,
Bro. Tim
