Happy Thanksgiving!

This is Thanksgiving week and I hope you and your family have a very blessed celebration of the blessings of God.  We have so many things for which to be thankful.  Remember to give thanks for the eternal blessing we have in Jesus Christ.  As you have opportunity this week, publically and privately give thanks to God for the cross of Jesus Christ and the sacrifice He made for our sins.  He died on the cross for our sins.  Thank You for the cross, Lord!

The Thanksgiving Dinner was a great event last night.  Thanks to the Special Events Committee for preparing the turkey, dressing, ham, rolls, and drinks.  It was very well attended with more than 125 people.  The sharing time was one of the best we have had as many shared words of thanksgiving and praise.

This is the final day for our Operation Christmas Child emphasis.  It has been a fantastic year of reaching our goals and breaking records for our participation.  Our church goal was 300 boxes and as of this moment we have received 303 boxes!  We also serve as an area drop-off point with a goal of 1082 and as of this moment we have processed over 1471 boxes!  Thank you to those who have worked so hard to see this project succeed in such a great way.  Join us in praying for the boxes as they are taken to the Regional Drop-Off in Cookeville and then on to the boys and girls of the world!

This Sunday, November 27 will be the final day to bring your coats for the Mission New York Trip, December 1-5.  The Mission New York Team will carry the coats to the city to distribute them in one of the largest public housing areas in the United States.  A box is located in the Connection Point for your coats, hats, scarves, and gloves.  All sizes are needed, especially the XL, XXL, and XXXL.

We have added one more additional day for the new Pictorial Directory on Thursday, November 1.  There are several times open on that Thursday.  If you haven’t made your reservations, contact Deborah at the Church Office, at 615-735-1929 today.  It is so important that every family be included in the directory.  In addition to a free 8x10 photo and a free copy of the completed directory, every family photographed will also receive yearly updated directory as we add families and as families change.  There will also be opportunity to purchase additional pictures if desired.

Have a blessed week,
Bro. Tim
