FBC Carthage E-News for September 21, 2015

FBC Carthage E-News
September 21, 2015

Good Morning,

Thank you for all the birthday wishes, posts, and cards.  I appreciate all the encouragement and kind words shared.  A birthday is a good time to be reminded of the blessing of the people in one’s life and to reflect on the many blessing God has given over the past years.  It is also a good time to take inventory of life and the days that lay ahead.  My prayer is that this will be the greatest year of ministry and impact yet in my life.  You are a blessing to me as we serve the Lord together.

As we move into the Fall Season it is time to begin praying for our Fall Revival with Brent Gambrell on November 1-4.  Brent was our Evangelist last year and we had a wonderful week as he shared the Word of God.   The worship will be led during the evening services by Scott and Lisa Nesbitt and their family.  I am looking forward to all God is going to do in our lives and in our church that week.  Be making your plans to attend this special week as we pray for God to move.

Speaking of praying for revival, everyone is asked to identify people in your family, friends, neighbors, co-workers to pray for and invite to attend the services.  Revival is a time to give special invitation to those we know who need Jesus Christ in their lives.  We will also have several Home Prayer Meetings leading up to the week of revival.  God’s promise of revival and healing in 2 Chronicles 7:13-14 comes with an instruction for His people, When I shut up heaven and there is no rain, or command the locusts to devour the land, or send pestilence among My people, if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

Please pray with me for God to move in a great way in our lives and in our church throughout these coming months.  May our hearts be stirred by the moving and presence of God’s Holy Spirit.

Have a blessed week,
Bro. Tim
