FBC Carthage E News for March 3, 2014

FBC Carthage E-News
March 3, 2014

Good snowy morning,

It is a mess outside today throughout Middle Tennessee.  I hope you are able to stay inside and not have to be out in the ice and snow.  If you wonder if it is slippery, it is.  I heard from one of our ladies who took a fall this morning while seeing if it was slippery.  She is ok, just a little shaken by the fall.   It is a perfect morning to get those things done around the house and then have an extra long quiet time.

Congratulations to Becky Mitchell in her new position as Minister to Children at West Side Baptist Church in El Dorado, Arkansas.  She will begin her ministry there in a couple of weeks.  Pray for Becky as she prepares for this transition to a new field of ministry and service.  West Side’s web site is: http://wsbchurch.org/wp/.

The Sanctuary will be getting some needed repairs and a fresh coat of paint this week.  Thanks to the ladies who stayed last night and helped select the new color.  Great choice!  We will plan to have the March Business Meeting and Wednesday Services in the Sanctuary this week if possible.

Be in prayer this week for Michal Deaver as she is serving in the Dominican Republic on a Medical/Dental Mission Team.

Also, remember to pray for Fran and I as we prepare for a mission trip to work with Zeke and Layne Tomaselli in Hilo, Hawaii as they look toward the Kick-off Sunday for Ohana Church on April 20.

This is also the Week of Prayer for North American Missions.  Here is a link for the Annie Armstrong Offering and Week of Prayer site.  The site includes a daily prayer guide for the week and a video gallery to hear the stories of the featured missionaries.  The site is:  http://www.anniearmstrong.com/

This Saturday is Daylight Savings Time so I remind you to move your clocks up one hour before you go to bed.  Spring Forward!

Have a blessed week,
Bro. Tim
