FBC Carthage E-News
March 10, 2014
Good beautiful Spring
morning,
What a difference one week
makes in Tennessee. Last Monday we were
having cold and snow with major ice in West Tennessee. Today is shirt sleeves and sunny. Spring is just around the corner.
Thank you for your patience
and understanding in our renovations and painting. The Sanctuary is looking great and hopefully
the paint smell will be dissipated by next week.
It was good to welcome
Michal Deaver back from Dominican Republic in the services yesterday. She will have pictures and present a mission
report next Sunday, March 16 in the 6:00 PM service.
We had a great trip to the
Tennessee Baptist Children’s Home on Friday.
Thanks to the 15 team members who traveled for this Parent’s Night
Out. Also, thank you to the ladies who
prepared the food and activities for the children. There were 22 children and house parents from
the TBCH and they seemed to have a great time.
Thank you to all the men
who joined us for the Men’s Breakfast on Saturday. Following the breakfast we were able to
minister to five families through projects ranging from changing light bulbs to
repairing siding to cleaning gutters to trimming shrubbery. The next Men’s Breakfast and Ministry
Projects will be Saturday, April 12.
Pray for Fran and I as we
prepare for a mission trip next week to work with Zeke and Layne Tomaselli in
Hilo, Hawaii. Bro. Mark and Karen
Stinnett, Pastor and wife from Hickman Baptist Church are going to work with
them this week. Pray for Zeke this week
on his birthday, Thursday, March 13. .
A mission team is
preparing to go to Poplar, Montana in April to do several projects around the
church and parsonage in preparation for the Spring and Summer work. Pray for this team as they travel and work.
Have a blessed week,
Bro. Tim
