FBC Carthage E News

September 3, 2013

Good Morning,

The E-News is coming to you a day later this week due to the Labor Day holiday. I hope you had an enjoyable day with friends and family. As the unofficial end of summer, it won’t be long before we enjoy the cooler weather of Fall.

Thank you for your prayers and concern last week as I had several heart tests. I am relieved that the tests came back clear with no blockages! Please continue to pray for me as I re-build my strength and energy.

We had a great Afternoon Singing and Dinner on the Grounds yesterday after the morning services. The food was delicious as always and the Men’s Quintet blessed us with a great time of singing and sharing. We are blessed as a congregation to have those who lead us in worship each week. Thank you to each one for their participation and ministry through worship.

The Citizen’s Bank parking lot being closed this past weekend for sealing and striping caught us by surprise but everyone seemed to respond very well to the alternative parking areas. It made me thankful and grateful to Citizen’s Bank for their generosity and blessing to us over these many years in allowing the church to use their parking lot each Sunday. As you see Dewayne Wilmore and other of the bank staff, let them know how much we appreciate them and the use of the parking each week.

I hope you have had a chance to see and “like” the new Facebook page for First Baptist Church Carthage. I also encourage you to take a few moments to click on one of the recent services which are posted on the Facebook page. Share the page and the services with your friends. You can also go directly to the videos at: http://vimeo.com/fbccarthage.

Speaking of the First Baptist Church Facebook page, Jeff and I will post special announcements from time to time to keep you better informed of the events and announcements of the church. Several mentioned that you saw the post I made late Saturday night as I learned about the possible closure of the Citizen Bank’s parking for Sunday. We also try to post reminder of special events like the Afternoon Singing and Dinner on the Grounds. This is just one more way to improve our communication. To get these special announcements, simply go to the First Baptist Church Carthage Facebook page and click “Like”.

Have a blessed week,

Bro. Tim
