FBC Carthage E-News for November 8, 2011

FBC Carthage E-News

November 8, 2011

Good Tuesday Morning,

Sorry for the delay in E-News this week. I was “under the weather” yesterday, not even able to go to the Revival service. After rest and antibiotics I am much improved today and hope to be back in place for the rest of the week. It is never convenient to be sick. Thank you to all who have been praying for me during these days.

The Fall Revival continues tonight and tomorrow night and I encourage each one to attend and to invite someone to attend with you. I heard that the attendance was excellent last night for the service and the meal. A special thanks to those who are preparing the meals this week for the revival. Supper begins at 5:30 PM with spaghetti tonight and roast beef tomorrow night. These meals are provided by the church as a ministry to you and your family during this revival week.

I also heard the Revival Adventure for children ages 3-1st grade had 9 boys and girls last night. Thank you, Miss Becky, for leading the children in this special Bible/Revival Adventure. The Revival Adventure continues through the Wednesday night service.

This has been a spiritually moving week with decisions and/or people coming to the front for prayer at each service. Invite your friends and family to attend these last two nights with you. God is moving among us and people are moved to respond.

Thanks again for praying for me last night and I will plan to see you tonight at 5:30 PM for supper and at 6:30 PM for the revival service.

Bro. Tim

This lunch is for hunters in the community as well as those in the church. This is a great opportunity to invite a buddy to join you for lunch. I am sure we will hear plenty of stories of the morning hunt. A short devotion will be shared and many door prizes will be given away.

5. “This may be the only Christmas many of these children will know.”
Lighthouse Christian Camp Christmas Parties are December 3 and December 10. These parties are for disadvantaged children in the area and your help would be appreciated. Ornaments for designated gifts are located on a tree at Connection Point. Please stop by and pick an ornament from the tree. There will also be a suggestion list in each SS classroom. Unwrapped gift items may be placed in the Young Women’s Sunday School classroom, Room 17. Please bring gifts by Sunday, November 20.
