FBC Carthage E-News for October 11, 2010

FBC Carthage E-News
October 11, 2010

Good Morning,

Sara and I are in Chattanooga, Tennessee today visiting the University of Tennessee Chattanooga. It is that time in my family’s life for Sara to choose a college. Please pray for her as she seeks God’s direction for a school and a career. Pray for others in our church and community who are seeking that same direction in their lives. These are exciting days for the Franks.

This is also an exciting week of missions. We have a team of twelve people on Long Island, New York serving this week with Jim and Karen Wilburn in the North Shores Baptist Church. Many will remember Jim and Karen as they served at FBC Carthage. Zeke Tomaselli is leading this mission team. They arrived in time for Sunday morning service. Last night the team conducted a youth lock-in at the church. They will participate this week in street evangelism and working at a homeless shelter. Pray for great weather, open hearts, and safety, especially as they travel back to Tennessee on Friday.

We also have three members of our Baptist association in Wiamea, Hawaii this week serving with Pastor Mark Stinnett. Pray for the work of this team and a safe trip back next Saturday.

Whether you travel out of Carthage, Tennessee or stay right here at home, there are many ways to serve the Lord and live “On Mission” for Him. Look around this week for someone to whom you can reach out and minister. It may be a friend who needs a kind word. It may be a family who needs a good meal. It may be a neighbor who has a yard or bushes that need cutting. In all you do, be ready and willing to share the good news of Jesus. Do what you can, where you are, with what you have for the glory of God. That is living “On Mission” with Him.

Have a blessed week as you serve the Lord,

Bro. Tim
