FBC Carthage E-News
June 29, 2009
Good Morning,
By the time you are reading this e-news I will be in New York City! We have a mission team of six persons who will be working with Jim and Karen Wilburn at the North Shores Baptist Church in King’s Park, New York. Please pray for our efforts as we work on the church facilities and with the church members during this week. I hope this is the first of many opportunities we as a church have to link with this church on Long Island to the glory of God. If you haven’t seen their new webs site I have placed them as the Link of the Week on the FBC Carthage home Page. Check it out at www.fbccarthage.com.
On Wednesday, July 1 Marty Dodge, the Director of Missions for the New Salem Baptist Association will be leading our Bible study at 6:30 PM. I encourage you to attend this service to hear his message.
Hopefully, everyone has received your packet of offering envelopes and the letter which I sent explaining the mailing service. I encourage everyone to use your envelopes this next Sunday, July 5 for your offering. Remember, if you have questions please contact me at tfrank@fbccarthage.com.
Sunday will be our Patriotic Sunday during the two morning services. I will continue the series on Who Are You in Christ. This Sunday we will rejoice that in Jesus Christ, we are FREE! Invite someone to attend with you.
In addition, we will also sponsor the Defeated Creek Campground Service at 8:30 AM on Sunday, July 5. Charlie Daigre, a retired Navy veteran will be leading the devotional service. I encourage you to go out and join in the special outreach service for the campers.
Sunday afternoon, July 5 we will gather at the Defeated Creek Park Pavilion for our Patriotic Service and Cookout. We have invited several other churches to join us for the service. Bring a covered dish and a lawn chair. The church will provide hamburgers and hot dogs and the fixings. Also, bring soft drinks if you prefer something other than tea or water.
Have a blessed week and please remember to pray for the Mission New York team this week.
Bro. Tim
