FBC Carthage E-News for September 19, 2022

FBC Carthage E-News

September 19, 2022

Good Morning,

The new 15-passemger Diamond Bus has been ordered with plans for delivery in November or December 2022.  We will plan several outings when we get it to give opportunity for many to see our new bus.

Discover FBC Carthage is a luncheon to be held this Sunday, September 25 after the morning service for those interested in more information on FBC Carthage and the steps to membership.  If you are a first time guest or a long-time attender, this luncheon is just for you.  If you can let us know you are planning to attend would be great so we can better plan for lunch.  Call the church office at (615) 735-1929.

The Young at Heart will have it’s monthly meeting this Tuesday, September 20 in the Christian Life Center at 11:30 AM.  All adults 55+ are invited to attend.

Please be in prayer and plan to be a part of one of our Fall Mission efforts:

·        FBC Carthage will serve the community on Saturday, September 24 in the William Walton Day Festival by hosting the Inflatables for the children.  This event is always well received in the community and provides a great outreach to families.  Volunteers are needed for the event to serve in shifts from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.  See Bro. Tim for more details.

·        We will be feeding the football team on Thursday, September 29.  We will be preparing the meal at First Baptist CLC and serving at the High School cafeteria.

·        Please NOTE this date change:  The Women on Missions will sponsor a Parents Night out for the Tennessee Baptist Children’s Home on Saturday, November 12 in Franklin, Tennessee.  We will leave from the church at 3:30 PM and have supper, games, crafts, and a devotion with the children at the Children’s Home.  For more information and to sign up to help, contact Melody Tackett or Bro. Tim.

·        Coats for the City is a mission effort with the Bridge Community Church in New York City, December 2-4.  We will collect coats for this effort and participate in the coat distribution.  An information meeting will be on Sunday, September 18 at 11:00 AM, immediately following the morning service for those wishing to be a part of the team.

The theme of this year’s Trunk-or-Treat is “Bible Stories.”  This will be a fun year as we decorate, depict and share the Bible stories with the children and their families.  The Trunk-or-Treat will  be on Wednesday, October 26.  To sign-up for a Bible story, see Kristen Sanders, Pastor Paul, or Bro. Tim.
