Good
Morning,
Our mission trip to
Atlanta last week was a great time of service and making an impact as we worked
with Bro. Kewon Foster and Out of Love Ministries. There were 11 team members from FBC Carthage
who were part of this mission effort.
Central Baptist Church in Crossville joined the work on Friday, driving
down and back for the one day. We prayer
walked in four locations, hosted a block party for the Don Juan Apartments, and
distributed sack lunches to 150+ homeless in downtown Atlanta. There are pictures from the trip on the First
Baptist Church Carthage Facebook page.
Thank you for your prayers last week as the team served in Atlanta. A follow-up opportunity to serve in Atlanta
will be a one day trip on Saturday, July 29 as Out of Love Ministries hosts Back
to School Bash Parties for the children and families in 7 different housing
areas. For more information contact Bro.
Tim Frank.
Thank you to the host
families and those who prepared refreshments for the services in homes
yesterday afternoon. We had over 60
people in the three different home fellowship services. Summer is a great time to have special times
of fellowship, ministry, and worship.
This Sunday afternoon,
July 2 we will have our annual Patriotic picnic at Defeated Creek Campground Pavilion. Everyone is asked to bring a covered dish and
soft drinks. You may also want to bring
your chairs. We will gather at 4:00 PM
and plan to eat at 5:00 PM. A special
joint service with other churches from the New Salem Baptist Association will
begin at 6:00 PM.
The youth have a great
group planning to leave early Tuesday morning, June 28 for Student Life Camp in
Orange Beach, Alabama. Pray for the
youth and workers and bus driver as we travel for this special week. Pray for the Lord to impact each person in a
new and fresh move of His spirit in our lives.
Have a blessed week,
Bro. Tim
