Good
Morning,
Vacation Bible School is
HERE! This is the week of VBS each
evening from 6:00-8:30 PM. We have
classes for children ages 4 through high school. Take a moment to contact a friend, neighbor,
or family member and invite them to bring their kids tonight to Vacation Bible
School. VBS will be filled with fun,
crafts, recreation, music, and Bible stories about Jesus. Don’t miss out on this week of impact.
The theme for VBS 2017 is
“Galactic Starveyors: Discovering the God of the Universe.” The focus verse the children will be
encouraged to memorize is Colossians 1:15-16 which says,
“ He is the image of
the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by Him
all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and
invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things
were created through Him and for Him.”
If you know of a child who
needs transportation we are running both church vehicles on limited routes. If we can, we will be glad to pick the child
up for VBS. Call the church office at
931 261-8452.
Please pray for Vacation
Bible School this week. Pray for the
children as they attend. Pray for the teachers and workers as they minister to
the children. Pray for God’ s Holy
Spirit to bring conviction in hearts of those ready for salvation. Pray for a great week of impact in the lives
of everyone involved.
Remember to wear your
special mission t-shirt during Vacation Bible School. If you
have not picked up a shirt they are available in the Connection Point.
Thanks to Brad Tackett for
leading the Defeated Creek Campground service.
There were 20 in attendance.

Here are several
statistics that show why Vacation Bible School is so important in the life of
our church. Please pray this week for
VBS.
Vacation
Bible School is:
o The single largest outreach event for churches.
o An ideal setting for a ministry because more people
will be on the church campus during VBS than at any other time.
o More people have come to know Jesus as Savior than any
single church event.
o 180,000 United States churches host VBS each year.
o 52 percent of pastors who decided as kids to follow
Jesus did so while at a children’s summer camp/VBS.
o 25 to 28 percent of all baptisms in the Southern
Baptist Convention are direct results of VBS. ---Source:
