Merry Christmas 2013 from the Franks
We celebrated our fifth
year in Carthage and continue to enjoy life on Main Street USA. Sitting out on the side porch and watching
the cars pass by continues to be one of life’s simple pleasures, especially
early in the mornings with a fresh cup of coffee. Fran and I are getting better accustomed to
the empty nest and it doesn’t seem quite as difficult as those first couple of
years.
Our ministry at First
Baptist Church Carthage continues to go well.
We have a new Minister to Youth and Families who joined the staff in
March, Jeff Hall. He and his wife
Kristina have a three year old daughter, Peyton. They have been a great addition to our church
and our lives. Jeff has helped our
church begin a video ministry through the local cable station and post the
video of the services each week online at http://vimeo.com/fbccarthage.
In May 2013, I graduated from Liberty University with
a Doctorate in Ministry in Church Leadership.
It was a blessing to walk across the stage in the commencement
exercises. Some have begun to call me Dr. Frank but most of the people still
call me Bro. Tim. My dissertation paper
was one of the most read of the doctoral papers several months during the early
spring. My dissertation deals with
cooperation between churches and is located at
http://digitalcommons.liberty.edu/doctoral/635/ .
Speaking of doctoral
programs, Jill successfully completed her pre-lims in November which are about the
half-way mark through her PhD in Chemistry at Texas A&M. Fran and I have been to Texas twice this past
year to visit Jill on her birthday in March and my birthday in September.
Sara has completed one year at Tennessee Tech in
Cookeville. She has settled on a major
in business with an emphasis in marketing.
This fall she has been working weekends at Riverview Regional Hospital
in Carthage as one of the Admission Specialists.
We wish for you a very
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
May your Christmas be a joyful celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ
as you focus on the true reason for the season.
Merry Christmas,
Tim and Fran Frank
