FBC Carthage E News for March 4, 2013

FBC Carthage E-News

March 4, 2013

Good Morning,

These are exciting days at FBC Carthage as we begin a new chapter in ministry as Jeff Hall begins his first full week as our Minister to Youth and Families. He and Kristina went with the youth over the weekend to the Youth Evangelism Conference in Nashville and had a great time, both in the conference and getting to know the students. In addition, the group did a mission project on Friday night feeding the homeless in Nashville.

Pray for Jeff, Kristina, and their two-year-old daughter Peyton this week as they move from Knoxville to Carthage. They hope to have their furniture in Carthage this afternoon in their home on Hull Avenue.

Jeff and I had a great visit last Thursday with Josh Lynn and Greg Dowell, students at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. Tuesday, March 5 we will be having lunch with the students from Vol State, 12:30 PM at Cracker Barrel and on Thursday, March 7 with the students from Tennessee Tech at 6:00 PM at Cheddars.

This is the Week of Prayer for North American Missions in which we focus on missions across the United States and Canada. The theme this year is “Whatever It Takes: Reaching the One”. Yesterday we distributed Prayer Guides for this week to help guide your focus on missions. If you did not receive a Prayer Guide you can go to http://www.anniearmstrong.com/weekofprayer/ for the prayer requests and featured videos.

Pray for Josh Lynn and a mission team from Tennessee Tech Baptist Collegiate Ministry this week as they travel to South Asia March 8-17. Pray for their safety, their success in sharing the gospel, and their teamwork in leading a youth rally. I look forward to hear a report of their trip when they return.

Have a blessed week,
Bro. Tim
