Today is a bitter-sweet day as Zeke and Layne Tomaselli leave Carthage to begin their training and preparation for starting a new church in Hawaii.  Listed below is a Prayer Newsletter to help us pray for this special couple.  Kandy Smith is serving as their Prayer Coordinator and she is compiling a list of persons who would like to receive these Prayer Newsletters on a regular basis.  Take a moment to read the newsletter and join in the prayer support for Zeke and Layne.

Special E-news Message August 1, 2012 Concerning the Ministry of Zeke and Layne Tomaselli from Kandy Smith, Ohana Church Prayer Coordinator:

Good Wednesday Morning, FBC Carthage Church Family:
As the Prayer Coordinator for the Ohana Church, I ask that you become a part of the Ohana Church Prayer Support Group. In that role, you will receive emails that will keep you aware of the specific prayer needs of Zeke and Layne as they move forward in the OC (Ohana Church) calling. Here is the first official email being sent out today to those who have already committed to be a part of the Ohana Church Prayer Support Group:

The transition officially begins today. Pray for Pastor Zeke and Layne, Anna Maxwell, and Phillip Slagle as they have departed from Carthage to move Zeke and Layne to Las Vegas.

Wednesday, August 1: Carthage, Tennessee to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma (735 miles)
Thursday, August 2: Oklahoma City to Flagstaff, Arizona (864 miles)

Friday, August 3: Flagstaff to Las Vegas, Nevada (250 miles, arriving hopefully by around noon)

Here is a prayer for the four as they travel; express these thoughts to God in your own way:
"Father, in the name of Your Son Jesus and based on faith in Your Word, we agree and ask for Divine intervention for Zeke, Layne, Anna, and Phillip as they travel. We pray that You would give Your angels charge over them according to Psalm 91, to bear them up and lead them safely, to keep them throughout the journey, and to cause them to be a blessing everywhere they go. We pray and believe that as they draw close to You, You will draw close to them. Help them to yield their hearts and beings, not just for this trip but every day and to abide near You in heart, thought, and actions all the days of their lives for that is the place of Divine safety. In Jesus’ name we pray, and in faith we believe and we receive, and so we thank You now. Amen."

In addition, please continue to pray for:
The Training
* Pray for a smooth transition; pray for the house in Carthage to sell.
* Pray for wisdom for training; pray for Zeke as he has a great deal of reading and studying to do.
* Pray for continual increases in prayer partners and supporting churches.

The Field
* Pray that God would begin preparing the hearts of those with whom Zeke and Layne will come in contact.
* Pray for God to raise up families to join the work in Hawaii.
* Pray for God to continue to refine the vision He has given to Zeke and Layne concerning OC.
* Pray for wisdom concerning those Zeke and Layne have approached about joining them as staff families for OC.

The World
* Pray for God to raise up nationals to go back to their homelands and minister to their people.
* Pray for continued focus on the Kingdom, not just on OC.
