40 Days of Easter - April 23, 2011

Matthew 28:1-8
Focus Verse: Matthew 28:7 "He is going into Galilee ahead of you!"

God goes ahead of us in all that we do!! He sent His Only Begotten Son in human flesh to experience each and every temptation and feeling that we endure as temporary residents here on earth. He knows our every thought, fear, and worry. He longs for us to share these thoughts and worries with Him. Often times we get bogged down by the busyness of life and don't spend quality time sharing our thoughts and feelings with God and seeking His plan for our lives. Because of this, He often waits ahead in order for us to catch up! God has a plan for each of us, plans to prosper us, not to harm us. (Jeremiah 29:11). But we must be willing to move forward towards Him with purpose! If only we could have as much fear and excitement to move towards God and share the Good News as Mary had after finding the tomb empty. As Easter approaches, take time daily to build your personal relationship with God. Skip, hop, run in order to catch up to Him! And always remember God has gone ahead of us and prepared a path for us so that we may spend eternity with Him.

Is God waiting on you to catch up?

Dear Heavenly Father,
I praise You for always waiting on me to catch up! You are faithful even though I fail You time after time! Lord I pray that You would renew in me the excitement and fear of Mary to spend time in Your Word and in prayer. Amen.
