Cannot Deny Himself
Matthew 27:11-14
Focus on Matthew 27:11
Jesus cannot deny Himself (2 Timothy 2:13) nor His deity when asked, "Are you the King of the Jews?" Having all power and authority over all of creation, and having all of heaven's Angels at His command, he could have added he was not only the King of the Jews, but the King of Kings and Lord of Lords! Truth is powerful, but any defense against the false accusations of the chief priests and elders would have been wasted effort.
Let us also never deny Jesus is our Savior and the Savior of the world who gives eternal life to all whom believe. Let us never deny that in Jesus we have us comfort in times of sorrow, peace in the midst of storms, and everlasting joy. But more importantly, share your faith in the one and only Savior, hope in the eternal promises of God, and love, the everlasting love, of our Redeemer.
Again, let us also never deny Jesus and be reminded of the warning from 2 Timothy 2:12 is "If we deny Him, He also will deny us."
Who needs to hear you speak up and speak out for Christ?
Pray for persecuted Christians. In many parts of the world today, many Christians are persecuted because they have named Jesus as their King. Also in the recent weeks, we have seen several countries in the Middle East turn toward more extreme forms of Islam, and Christians living in those countries are in great risk.
