FBC Carthage E-News
March 7, 2011
Good morning,
The buttercups are blooming and it is beginning to look and feel like spring. In fact, several of our college students are out this week on Spring Break. This is an exciting time of the year as the grey skies of winter are exchanged for the bright blue days of spring. It is a great day the Lord has made, let us remember to thank Him.
I want to say congratulations to Zeke Tomaselli on his first anniversary as the Minister to Youth and Music at FBC Carthage. Zeke and Layne have been a blessing to me personally, to our church family, and to the community. This would be a great week to say a good word to Zeke and Layne and let them know how much they mean to you.
We had a great time yesterday as Dr. David Sills shared about the Inuit people and missions in general. It was one of the most engaging mission presentations and messages I have heard. What a challenge to think of the people who have never heard the gospel and the responsibility we have to go and share with them. Here is a link to Dr. Sills’ Reaching and Teaching website. It has many helpful articles on living missions:

Speaking of missions, I have had nine people express interest in the Mission Trip to Kenya, Africa tentatively set for May 26-June 12. The initial plane tickets are around $2500. Hopefully we can get the price a little more competitive. We will need to buy tickets very soon. If you need a passport, start the process right NOW! Time is of essence. If you are considering the trip and I have not heard from you, send me an e-mail tfrank@fbccarthage.com or reply back to this e-news.
We also need to be firming up our plans for the Montana Mission Trip, July 4-13. If you are planning on being a part of this trip, send me an e-mail or reply.
Remember the good news of Jesus, He is our Redeemer! Have a blessed week as you live for Him.
Bro. Tim
