FBC Carthage E-News for July 13, 2010

July 13, 2010

Hello from Murdo, South Dakota,

We are two-thirds of our way to Poplar, Montana and looking forward to being there tomorrow evening. The road-trip has been very pleasant and everyone has seemed to have had a good trip. Those flying will meet the road-trip around lunch at Rapid City, South Dakota and then we will all finish the drive together. Thursday our work will begin with a visitation effort to every home (around 350) in Poplar and then a community cookout and block-party at the church. Friday through Sunday will be the ministry booth at the Pow-Wow grounds and then back to Carthage by Wednesday. Please pray for the following for the Mission Montana team this week:
Safe travel and good health for the team members
Spiritual preparation for the team and the people in Poplar
Success in the work
Relationships within the team and with others in the community
Pastor Vance and Kathy Thomas
Bill and Kathy Hess – An important lay family in the church

During this week I also encourage your prayers for the mission team from the association who are serving in East Tennessee. I heard from Bro. Marty Dodge, our Director of Missions, and he said they were already busy in the work.

Also remember Zeke and Layne as they enjoy some time with their family this week.

We are in preparation for two huge weeks in Smith County, the fair week, July 26-31 and the Power Team Crusade, August 4-8. There is more information in this news about each.

Please remember my family this week in a personal way. Last week my daughter Sara was injured in a soccer accident. She has torn her ACL and is facing rehab and possible surgery. She feeling better but we still need prayers.

Speaking of personal prayer needs, please remember Neal and Brenda Lankford and their 5-year-old great grand-daughter, Haley Chasse. She is having some major complications after major surgery.

Have a great week and I will see you in about a week.
Bro. Tim
