FBC Carthage E-News for June 14, 2010

FBC Carthage E-News
June 14, 2010

Good morning and welcome to VBS Week 2010!

Vacation Bible School is the big news for this week. We had a great kick-off last night at the Ag Center. The riding and roping was a lot of fun and the barbeque was delicious. Thanks to Rhonda Ethridge, Lisa Reece, Amy Broyles and all those who worked hard to make the kick-off a great success.

Vacation Bible School begins tonight at 6:00 PM in the Sanctuary. We will gather for our worship rally and then go to the classes. The teachers have been busy transforming the church into Saddle Ridge Ranch. This is going to be one of the best Vacation Bible Schools ever.

Vacation Bible School is for 4year olds through youth and there will be many classes in between. Invite your friends to join you for VBS 2010. Everyone is welcome and invited to attend.

I have attached a final list of the Vacation Bible School workers at the end of this E-News. There are still opportunities for you to serve during this special week of VBS. Come tonight or any of the nights at 5:45PM and we’ll have a place of service for you. Pray for these workers this week that the Lord will use them to touch the lives of the boys and girls.

On a personal note, thank you goes to everyone who made my 2nd year anniversary so special. The many cards I have received have brightened my week. The Reception/Coffee was a lot of fun yesterday between first service and Sunday School. The shirt, tie and gift certificate to Men’s Warehouse were all greatly appreciated. It is a joy to serve the Lord Jesus Christ and to serve as your Pastor at FBC Carthage. I look forward to all that the Lord has for us together in the years ahead.

I also appreciate the cards and prayers for me and my family in the recent death of my sister-in-law, Betty Frank. The memorial service was Saturday and was a great celebration of her life and her faith in Jesus Christ. Continue to pray for my brother, Morris Frank, during this time of grief and adjustment. Here are two of the songs that were sung that blessed me and I believe will bless you:

Have a blessed week and remember to pray for VBS 2010.
Bro. Tim
