FBC Carthage E-News
January 5, 2009
Good Morning,
As you are reading this E-news I am in class at Liberty Seminary in Lynchburg, Virginia. I appreciate the opportunity to work toward my Doctor in Ministry degree. A special thanks to Tony Fleenor for filling the pulpit Sunday night. Please pray for me as I study and go back to school. After twenty plus years it is a little more difficult.
Also, please be in prayer today and tomorrow for Jim and Karen Wilburn as they go in for the delivery of their child. The delivery is scheduled for Tuesday.
Regular scheduled activities will begin Wednesday night with the meal at 5PM and Bible study, Youth, RAs and Gas at 6:30 PM. Choir rehearsal will begin at 7 PM and I urge everyone who has been in the choir to come for this rehearsal. We need you, especially during the Interim.
Be praying for the Personnel Committee as they pray and search for God’s person for this position.
The Mission Trips last week were fantastic. We had 19 people travel to Franklin, Tennessee to help paint two of the homes at the Tennessee Baptist Children’s Homes. Six people traveled Thursday, Friday and Saturday to Big Creek Missions in Kentucky for painting, HVAC installation, and other projects. Both trips were great blessings and very rewarding to the participants and to those we served. Thanks to all who participated. Check out www.fbccarthage.com for pictures.
This is a great week to serve the Lord Jesus Christ. Keep your eyes open for the opportunities.
Have a blessed New Year,
Bro. Tim
