FBC Carthage E-News
January 12, 2009
Good Morning,
It is great to be sitting in the office and sharing with you on this Monday morning. The last two weeks have been exciting with the mission trips and the week at Liberty University, but I am glad to be back in a regular routine.
Thank you to all those who prayed for me last week during my doctoral class at Liberty. The class was on the growth and development of the minister and I came away with a renewed appreciation for all the blessings of the Lord. For those who prayed specifically for my health during the week, I am much better and am glad that is over.
Jim and Karen Wilburn had their baby on Tuesday and they are all three at home and doing great. If you haven’t seen a picture yet log onto www.fbccarthage.com and see the one of the first pictures of the family. Congratulations to Jim and Karen.
Continue to pray for Jim and Karen as they prepare to move to Long Island, New York. Jim will be moving the furniture this Friday. Several from First Baptist, including myself, will be going up to help in this move. I am looking forward to being with Jim during his first Sunday service as Pastor of North Shores Baptist Church. Be praying for him as he preaches to his new congregation this Sunday. Tony Fleenor will be preaching here this Sunday as I am away.
Michael Key and several from First Baptist took 96 meals to the homeless in Nashville on Saturday. I have talked to several who went and they expressed the power of ministering to those in great need and the appreciation the people had for a simple meal. Thanks for expressing compassion to those in need. That’s part of what we are all about at FBC Carthage. Exalt Christ. Establish Connections. Express Compassion.
Have a great week,
Bro. Tim
