FBC Carthage E-News
March 28, 2022
With this week being
Spring Break for our local schools, it is also a reminder that Easter
Celebration will be here soon. In fact,
Easter is two weeks from this coming Sunday.
Special events and activities will be held to celebrate the Resurrection
of our Lord, Jesus Christ. Easter
Sunday, April 17 is always the highlight of the church year. It is a simultaneous celebration across the
entire planet that Jesus has conquered the grave and gives to Believers eternal
life. May the message never get old in
our hearts and minds, “He is alive!”
We will also have Good
Friday Communion Service on Friday, April 15 at 6:00 PM. This special service will be a reflection on
the price Jesus paid for our sins on the cross.
Several churches in our
county are sharing each evening during Holy Week on the steps of the Historic
Courthouse in downtown Carthage. The
services begin each evening at 6:30 PM and are open to the community. Tuesday night is a special focus on the youth
of our community.
This season is also the
time we focus on North American Missions and receive the Annie Armstrong
Offering for North American Missions. I
encourage everyone to give a special offering to spread the gospel of Jesus
Christ throughout the cities of the United States and Canada. We, as a church, will give the entire
offering on Easter Sunday to North American Missions. We have been extremely blessed as we give our
very best and biggest offerings for the Kingdom of God in the world.

The RightNowMedia Video of
the week is “The Holy Spirit.” This 15-minute video feature Francis Chan as
he shares the basic doctrine of the Holy Spirit. God gives each of us the gift of the Holy
Spirit, our source of supernatural power. But today the church acts neither
"super" nor "natural." How do we join the move of what the
Spirit is doing? Maybe once we understand who the Holy Spirit is, the church can
stop being so ordinary, and can start being the agents of change in the world
that God designed us to be. https://app.rightnowmedia.org/en/player/video/350?session=3085

Please pray for the
Russia/Ukraine conflict. Pray for a
resolve and peace to come. Pray for
believers in Christ in both countries as they share the hope of Jesus in a
hopeless world.
Live in 2022 like this
will be the year you see Jesus.
Have a blessed week,
Bro. Tim
