Good Morning,
Be praying these next
three weeks as we look forward to Paul and Maura Stouder and Cadie moving to
Carthage. Paul’s plans are to pack the
moving truck, leave on September 24, and arrive on September 28. His first day as Associate Pastor will be
October 1. In anticipation of their
move, the Women on Missions group is organizing an old fashioned pounding of non-perishable
foods, cleaning supplies, and paper products for Sunday, September 26.
During the Sunday evening
services we are studying through the Old Testament Minor Prophets. This week’s prophet was Obadiah. Here is an overview video of the 21 verses of

The Women on Missions
meeting will be tonight, Monday, September 13 at 6:30 PM in the Christian Life
Center. The ladies will be packing
“Christmas Backpacks” as part of the Tennessee Baptist Mission Board’s ministry
in East Tennessee. All ladies are
invited to join in this mission project and learn more about the work with
children.
A new semester of
GriefShare is underway on Tuesday nights at 6:00 PM in the Christian Life
Center. There is no cost for these grief
support group sessions and a workbook is provided. If you or someone you know is struggling in
the death of a loved one, come and be a part of this grief-support group. Grief is a difficult journey, but you don’t
have to walk alone. GriefShare is a
joint ministry of First Baptist Church Carthage, Bass Funeral Home, and
Sanderson Funeral Home. For more

We are planning to be
apart of the Coats for the City, Coat Distribution mission trip to New York
City on December 3-5. We will be
collecting coats in the Connection Point and then going to NYC for the
distribution. If you are interested in
this project please contact Bro. Tim.
During September we will
be emphasizing Tennessee Missions through the Tennessee Baptist Mission Board. We will also be collecting the Golden State
Mission Offering. Here is an overview

Attention Ladies: The Sew-n-Sews will meet this Thursday,
September 16 at 9:00 AM in the Christian Life Center, 109 Fite Avenue W. This group sews children’s clothes to send in
the Operation Christmas Child boxes.
Everyone is welcome to join in the fun.
Attention Adults 55+: The Association Senior Adult Fish Fry will be
this Thursday, September 16 at Rome
Baptist Church on Highway 70. We will
leave from FBC Carthage on the bus at 5:30 PM, eat at 6 pm, and have a
bluegrass program at 7:00 PM. This is always a delicious and fun time
together with the churches in the New Salem Baptist Association.
Plans are being made for
the 2021 Trunk or Treat to be help Wednesday, October 27 from 5:00-7:30
PM. We will have inflatables, food, and
a lot of candy. The theme for this
year’s Trunk ot Treat is “Truths from the Bible: Tis so Sweet.” The goal is to have many more cars decorated
and handing out candy. Everyone is asked
to bring individually wrapped candies for this great event and place it in
collection bins in the Connection Point.
We had 15 people and one
large dog at the Defeated Creek Campground Worship Service this past
Sunday.
We will host the
Inflatables for the William Walton Days community event in Downtown Carthage on
Saturday, September 25. Set-up will be
at 9:00 AM and we staff the Inflatables from 10:00 AM - 12:00 Noon. See Bro. Tim to sign up to help with this
community outreach.
