FBC Carthage E-News
February 1, 2021
Good Morning,
As we move into a new month, I remind you to
continue to pray for the Pregnancy Help Center as they serve babies, mothers,
and families every week. Let our
prayers, concern, and financial support reach beyond one month as we partner
with the PHC in their work. We will
continue to have the text giving option available for you to give on a regular
basis by texting the keyword LIFE to 1 (615) 492-8661.
I mentioned Joni and Friends and her interview
with Nick Vujicic in yesterday’s message on the Sanctity of Human Life. This inspiring, heart-warming interview will
bless you. Check it out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VTVhYO42c_0
The Women on Missions will meet tonight Monday,
February 1 at 6:30 pm in the Christian Life Center. The lesson will be “Praying from the
Heart.” All ladies are invited and
encouraged to attend.
Through the month of February we will be making
contacts to touch base and update our information. We will also be praying for the needs you may
have in your life. May this be a
blessing to you and to our church as we move forward through this Covid
pandemic.
The Deacons will meet on Sunday, February 7 at
7:00 PM in the Christian Life Center.
A new semester of GriefShare, a grief support
group, will begin on Tuesday, February 16 at 6:00PM. The sessions will meet this year at the Chamber
of Commerce building at 939 Upper Ferry Road.
There is no cost for the sessions and a workbook will be provided. GriefShare is a joint effort of First Baptist
Church Carthage, Bass Funeral Home, and Sanderson Funeral Home. For more information, contact Tim Frank at (615)
735-1929. You can also sign-up online at

I remind everyone of the new Sunday School resource
made available through the Tennessee Baptist Mission Board called Sunday School
Lesson Showcase. Each week, Pastor
Travis Biller and I will share the Sunday School lessons for the Bible Studies
for Life and the Explore the Bible series.

The Right Now Video of the
week is “The Meaning of Life.” This 6-minute video answers the question, “Is
there meaning to life?” Many atheists have claimed that if God does not exist,
then human life is ultimately without meaning, value, or purpose. By contrast,
if Christianity is true, then each one of us is here for a reason, and life
does not end at the grave. God, who is the absolute standard of goodness, knows
you, loves you, and intentionally created you. So your life ultimately does
have objective meaning, value, and purpose! Check it out:
