FBC Carthage E-News
November 16, 2020
Good Morning,
This is the Collection Week for Operation
Christmas Child boxes. We will serve as
the collection point for our area. Boxes
can be brought by the Christian Life Center at various hours listed below:
Monday
thru Wednesday 1-3 pm
Thursday
thru Saturday 11am-3pm
Sunday 1-3 pm
Monday,
November 23 11am-1pm
This is the season of giving and here are
several ways you can give:
·
Money for Thanksgiving Boxes is being collected
through the Sunday School classes again this Sunday. Distribution will be Wednesday, November
25. If you know of a family who would be
blessed by a Thanksgiving food box, please contact Bro. Tim or call the church
office at (615) 735-1929.
·
Winter coats are being collected for the annual
coat give-away through our partner church in New York City, Bridge Community
Church. You can bring coats to the
Connection Point or contact the church office for shipping information to ship
new coats directly to the church.
·
Operation Christmas Child boxes can be dropped
off through next Sunday, November 22. Boxes and information sheets are in the
Connection Point.
·
Lighthouse Christian Camp serves the children in
Middle Tennessee through their summer camps and all year long. We will be receiving toys and items for their
Christmas Parties through the month of November. They are receiving gifts for the children to
give for members of their family: preschool, children, youth, and adults. Volunteers are also needed to work in the
Christmas Parties, held December 5 and 12 from 9:30AM-3:00 PM. Lighthouse is located in Smithville,
Tennessee. See Bro. Tim to volunteer.
We welcome Kristin Sanders as she comes for church
membership.
We continue to provide access to online giving,
however the keyword for our regular offering has been changed to OFFERING. To give, simply text the word OFFERING to
1-(615) 492-8661. The first time you use
the electronic giving, you will enter your giving information. After that, you simply enter the offering you
wish to make. We are also presently
using the word LIFE to give
electronically to the Pregnancy Help Center.
Additional cooking teams are needed to serve on
Wednesday afternoons on a rotating basis.
For more information, contact the church office or see Bro. Tim.
Please remember to update your email contact for
Bro. Tim to timfrank1960@gmail.com. All prior email addresses are not working at
the present time.
Be sure and check out the
daily devotional videos on the First Baptist Church Carthage Facebook page and fbcarthage

The Right Now Video of the
week is “Bible Unearthed.” This 12-part
series explores the history, importance and impact of archaeology and how
discoveries help us better understand the ancient world. The team gets dirty
with the basic tools, technologies and discoveries of archaeology, while
focusing on the key locations and artifacts that make the Bible come alive.
Entertaining and educational, Bible Unearthed™ is a great apologetics
resource for the entire family. Check out the trailer:
