Good Morning,
The snow this morning was
a beautiful reminder of the handiwork of God.
It was so pretty on the trees but melted off so quickly. For those who get a day off from school,
enjoy this late season snow day.
This week begins our
special events surrounding the remembrance of the cross and the celebration of
the resurrection. On Wednesday, March 14
at 6:00 PM in the Christian Life Center we will enjoy a special presentation of
Christ in the Passover. Eugene Lempert,
a Jewish Christian from Jerusalem will lead us in the elements and description
of a Jewish Passover meal and explain the significance of each part of the meal
as it relates to Jesus Christ. We will enjoy a delicious supper in the
Christian Life Center as part of this Passover presentation. The presentation will begin at 6:00 PM with
the meal incorporated in after approximately 40 minutes. Invite your family to share this special time
with you as we prepare to celebrate Easter.
Donations of candy and
plastic eggs are needed as we look forward to the Children’s Easter Egg Hunt on
Saturday, March 24 at 10:30 AM. There
will be several Easter Egg hunts for babies through children through 10 years
of age. In addition we will have games,
inflatables, face painting, and food.
Invite your family and friends to come with you. This will be an Easter Egg Extravaganza!
This year’s Good Friday
service will be held at New Middleton Baptist Church on Friday, March 30 at
6:30 PM. This will be the third year for
us to join with the churches of the New Salem Baptist Association for this
remembrance of the price Jesus paid on the cross for our sins.
Our 2018 Easter Sunday
Celebration will be on Sunday, April 1 (Yes, April Fool’s Day) at 10:30
AM. We will have Sunday School at 9:30
AM and dismiss a little early for the service.
In addition to a special musical presentation by the choir and a
Biblical message on the Resurrection, we will observe the Lord’s Supper and
proclaim His death, burial, and resurrection through the bread and juice. Invite your family and friends to join you
for this special day.
Remember to be praying for
the North American Mission Board and the missionaries throughout the United
States and Canada as they serve the Lord and proclaim the gospel. We are receiving the Annie Armstrong Offering
for North American Missions this month and the entire offering given on Easter
Sunday will go to missions. Give a
special gift in honor and thanksgiving for the gift Jesus gave as He died on
the cross for your sins. Here is a link to the NAMB missionary videos
we are showing this month:
Be praying for Bro. Matt,
