FBC Carthage E-News for June 6, 2016

FBC Carthage E-News

June 6, 2016

Vacation Bible School Is Here!  Today stats five fun-filled, action-packed, Bible-based days as we “Dive In” to VBS 2016.  VBS will be this week, June 6-10 from 6:00 – 8:30 PM each evening.  Classes will be offered for children ages 4 through High School.

This year’s VBS Theme is an under-the-sea adventure entitled “Submerged: Finding Truth Below the Surface.”

The VBS Motto is: “Jesus sees.  Jesus knows.  Jesus Saves.”

The Key verse for the week is Psalm 139:23-24 which says, “Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me, and know my anxieties; 24 And see if there is any wicked way in me, And lead me in the way everlasting.”

Here are two fun sites to get you in the VBS mood.

The VBS songs can be found and played at:  https://vbs.lifeway.com/music/

The music videos can be seen on Youtube at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oOY_GPKg7Zk&list=RDoOY_GPKg7Zk#t=17

Here are several important last minute actions you are asked to do as we prepare for VBS:

·        Pray for the students every day as they come to VBS ready to learn the truths of Jesus through the Bible lessons, music, crafts, recreation, music and refreshments.

·        Pray for the VBS workers as they prepare, share, and interact with the children.  May the children see the love and feel the compassion of Jesus from each worker.  Workers are listed below.

·        Pray for the Holy Spirit to move in the hearts of the boys and girls to bring many of them to salvation in Jesus Christ.

·        Bring your children and grandchildren to VBS each evening.

·        Invite neighbors and friends to bring their children.  Perhaps you could bring the children with you to VBS.

·        Have the children bring an offering each night and small items for Mission Montana.

·        Come to VBS in a spirit of excitement, expectation, and fun.

This is going to be a wonderful week of sharing God’s love with the children of our church and community.  Have a blessed week:

Bro. Tim
